Joe passed away Sunday, November 14, 2004 at 3:54 a.m.
The family of Joe Marion has known for weeks what happened to Joe to cause his
injuries. Someone other than a family member attempted to move Joe to his bed
by themselves and dropped him (Just as I maintained all along).
THEN, they did NOT go get help. They attempted to pick him up again,
but this time placed their hands and arms under his arm pits.
He was bedfast so long and had no strength that his arms shot straight up and he
was dropped again.
Since being stupid is not a crime there was no way to file charges against the
person who dropped him.
One thing about this is that whoever did this, (employee or stupid person,
we are not saying publicly) all nursing home employees in the area are
very serious and follow the rules when moving patients.
****************************
These injuries occured Wednesday August 18th between 12:45pm and 1:43 pm
The state of Texas stated our charges are unsubstantiated and the investigation
is over. NOT BY A LONG SHOT. Look at the pictures. The charges are valid
and will continue to be valid. The reward will be offered for as long as it
takes to clear the injury case.
The state came back for a second investigation September 1st and 2nd
(Wednesday and Thursday). We have not as yet heard of their findings from their
second investigation.
We now have information from a fellow employee at the time who was told the story
first hand minutes after Joe was dropped. We even know the employee who dropped
Joe said Oh Sh*t! when they dropped him. Gotcha, don't I girl.
We now have heard the findings of the second investigation. The finding was
failure to protect against the nursing home.
The reward has been satisfied.
LOOK AT THE PICTURES. THOSE ARE REAL INJURIES.
